In April, Amphenol extended our portfolio of BTB and FFC/FPC connectors with the acquisition of Aorora. Almost 400 Aorora parts are now searchable with datasheets, 2D drawings, 3D models and product specifications. Read on to learn more about the 4 key product lines.

0.50mm FFC/FPC Connectors

The 0.50mm pitch FFC/FPC connectors come in multiple heights and are vibration-proof. These connectors offered with top, bottom, dual beams and dual contact positions in both ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) and Non-ZIF cable terminations utilize 0.50mm contact spacing to terminate mobile devices across a variety of applications. The connector series comes with a wide height range of 1.25mm to 5.80mm with 4 to 80 contact positions and are widely used in automotive, data, communications, medical, and consumer industries.

1.00mm FFC/FPC Connectors

The 1.00mm pitch FFC/FPC connectors are offered with top and bottom contact positions in both ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) and Non-ZIF cable terminations. With a wide height range of 2.00mm to 5.04mm with 3 to 34 contact positions, these connectors are available in both vertical and right angle orientations. These connectors come with front flip and slider mechanisms and feature surface mount termination. These are ideal for a wide range of applications in automotive, data, communications, medical, and consumer industries.

0.35mm Micro Board-to-Board Connectors

0.35mm pitch micro board-to-board connectors are miniature product solutions designed for high density applications. These micro connectors support extreme low profile with 1.00mm stack height and come in 14 positions. They also feature SMT terminations and are ideal for consumer applications such as mobile phone, smart watch, smart glasses and VR/AR devices.

0.80mm Floating Board-to-Board Connectors

The high-speed 0.80mm floating board-to-board connectors from Amphenol ICC offers a floating range of ±0.50mm in the X, Y and Z directions which makes it resistant to vibration. These connectors with a stack height up to 23mm and positions from 30 to 120 tolerate misalignments during mating or vibrations in pick-and-place processes, improving overall contact reliability. It also supports speed performance up to 2.5Gb/s to meet high transmission requirements.
